Job Description

LondonEnergy are currently looking to recruit a Semi-Skilled Maintenance Technician for our new Reuse & Recycle Facility (RRF), in Edmonton, North London.

As the Semi-Skilled Maintenance Technicianyou will be responsible for ensuring the facility is maintained sufficiently to provide conditions for safe and efficient operation by successful completion of Level 1 and 2 maintenance tasks. This includes Preventative and Reactive maintenance.

The RRF Semi-Skilled Maintenance Technician will also be assisting the RRF Maintenance Lead in ensuring the most effective and efficient maintenance processes and procedures are in place to maximise efficiency of the operation at all times.

As our Semi-Skilled Maintenance Technician, you are also responsible for:

  • Control of Contractors – ensuring all due diligence checks have been completed, all required documents are in place and clear instruction is provided
  • Replacement of parts on electrical and mechanical systems such as seals, filters, bearings, relays (assisted) etc
  • Inspections of plant, equipment and systems, Lubrication of plant and equipment, Cleaning routines of plant and equipment, Periodic testing of plant, equipment and systems.
  • Maintaining the CMMS – ensuring all required asset information is being capture and uploaded to the system
  • Liaise with the RRF Site Manager to ensure all works planned will not have any detrimental effect on the operation of the facility
  • Join any required meetings to provide technical (limited) advice as and when necessary

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience working in an industrial environment as a Semi-Skill Maintenance Technician or similar role
  • Experience with managing assets by use of a CMMS is mandatory
  • Must be trained in basic Health and Safety, as a minimum
  • Working from Heights and Confined Space trained is preferred
  • Must have basic qualifications in maintaining systems and/or working towards NVQ Level 3
  • Knowledge of 5S system and CMMS
  • Must have availability for response to being “called in” outside of normal working hours.
  • Must be aware of and adhere to safe working practices
  • The ability to fault find autonomously and propose innovative ideas to reduce reoccurring breakdowns
  • Good numeracy, keyboard skills and system understanding
